Yes, on Oct. 25 By Pam Lannom Answer: What is Oct. 25? Question: The date of the most exciting, invigorating fall conference ever to be offered by the Northern Illinois Newspaper Association. "Journalism Jeopardy" is the topic for the morning session of NINA's annual fall conference. Join us to participate in a fun, interactive discussion and exploration of issues that matter most to today's journalists. Think about things you haven't thought of before or old ideas in new ways. Dick Johnson, morning anchor at NBC-Channel 5, will give Alex Trebek a run for his money as "Jeopardy" host. Audience members will have a chance to win a "scoop" by answering questions in categories such as ethics, leads, budgets, coverage, libel law, readers and the ever-popular "potpourri." Members of our expert panel will share their thoughts and experiences as well. Our panel will include Dirk Johnson, Chicago bureau chief for Newsweek and former national correspondent for The New York Times. Our keynote speaker, Steve Neal, Chicago Sun-Times political columnist and editor of the new book "Eleanor and Harry: The correspondence of Eleanor Roosevelt and Harry S. Truman," will share his experiences covering politics. And, as always, after lunch find out which reporters, photographers, designers and newspapers are among the best in the state. Sign up today!
