SPRING CONFERENCE

Individual Critiques

NINA will offer a writing evaluation for any person who attends the spring conference. The evaluation will be done by seminar instructor Neil Hopp or another professional writing coach. There is no additional charge.

Here's how it works:
(1) Each writer should submit three stories published during the week ending March 12, 1999. Please submit full-page tearsheets, with the selected stories (and jumps, if necessary) clearly marked.
(2) Send the tearsheets to Jim Killam, NINA communications coordinator, at the Northern Star, Campus Life Building Suite 130, DeKalb, IL 60115. All tearsheets must be received no later than April 2.
(3) A writing coach will review each writer's stories and make written notes on the tearsheets prior to the spring conference April 23.
(4) Each writer who submits a package of stories will be scheduled to meet with a writing coach for a 15- to 20-minute critique session. The critiques will take place between 3:30 and 5 p.m. A schedule indicating your time slot will be available at the registration desk. If you are unable to stay after 3:30 p.m., you may pick up your written critique at the registration desk.
